The 5th Galway Food Festival will take place over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend from Thursday 24 until Monday 28 March 2016. All are welcome to come and enjoy 5 days of exceptional food and lots of free events for all the family in Ireland’s favourite festival city. The Festival celebrates Galway as a good food destination, with a strong emphasis on artisan, seasonal and local produce. The festival will include an extended food village at Spanish Arch on the banks of the River Corrib; open-air markets at Galway Market, Woodquay Country Market and Moycullen Market; restaurant trails; food trails; cooking demonstrations and baking demonstrations; food tours to local artisan producers; foraging trips; food talks and debates; wine and beer tastings; food related crafts; lots of local produce; kids activities and family fun. Over 100 restaurants, food outlets and food producers are expected to participate and most events will be free admission.
