The now 9th edition of Taste of Antwerp in May 2015 was an unprecedented success, with every day a record attendance and sold tens of thousands of dishes at our participating top restaurants, young cooking talents and better food trucks. The reactions were unanimously positive about the quality and wide range, our program and the setting. Since 2007 Antwerpen Proeft / Taste of Antwerp premier annual culinary festival in Belgium. Nowhere else can be found on one and the same time and in one location signature dishes of so many familiar faces at a fraction of the normal restaurant price. In 2013 suggested Sergio Herman in their premiere his new restaurant, The Jane for Antwerp. In 2014 the festival brought the French restaurant Likoké of then newly-star chef Piet Huysentruyt in exclusivity in Belgium. New in 2015 were the – completely sold out – AEG Cooking Club, workshops with TV cook Sophie Dumont and extra space for beautiful wine regions and regional specialties. Flemish TV star Nathalie Meskens is the festivals passionate ambassador. Also at the meeting are top chef Wout Bru and national pride Pierre Marcolini chocolates. Anniversary in 2016 The 10th edition of Taste of Antwerp will take place on Thursday 5, Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday, May 8th, 2016, during the long weekend of Ascension. The festival is again on the river Scheldt in the heart of Antwerp in the Island area, the Waagnatie. With both outdoor and indoor stands, bars and public terraces the festivals’ anniversary can be enjoyed with all weather conditions.
