For the Abergavenny Food Festival 2016 only the dates are known. Below the text for the 2015 festival.
The Abergavenny Food Festival 2015 features over forty special events with wonderful guest performers; a brand new night market; pop-up restaurant with La Cave à Fromage; an enchanted party at the castle; two hundred top notch exhibitors; an Artisan Kitchen School, Children’s Food Academy, the region’s finest chefs, the Owl and the Pussycat, ‘Rude Health’ rants, real street food and more.
On the Saturday night the first ever Night Market is being held, with a brilliant collection of street food traders and as well as non-catering produce stalls; a magical place to eat, drink and hang out. Alongside this we have a some very special events (all individually ticketed). Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall will be kicking off the weekend. He’ll be appearing at the Borough Theatre on Friday 19 Sept in conversation with award-winning journalist Joanna Blythman. Also on Friday Jay Rayner examines our love affair with lousy reviews among others in My Dining Hell. The Artisan Kitchen School will host cooking classes throughout the Festival weekend. Join small group classes to learn skills from the experts. Try your hand at everything from cheese making to sushi rolling and make something to take home.
Some of the brightest lights of the food world will be joining us over the weekend and sharing their creativity and expertise. It’s a chance to take your culinary skills to another level by learning first-hand from the masters.
